True Romance Directors Cut Two Disc Special Edition

True Romance Directors Cut Two Disc Special Edition

5135PC2G4AL. SL75 True Romance Directors Cut Two Disc Special Edition

It was directed with energetic skill by Top Gun Tony Scott, but this breathtaking 1993 thriller (think of it as an adolescent crime fantasy on steroids) has Quentin Tarantino written all over it. True Romance is really part of a loose trilogy that includes Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, with a crackling Tarantino screenplay that rides a fine line between raucous comedy and violent excess. Christian Slater plays Clarence, the comic-book lover who meets a beguiling prostitute named Alabama (Patricia Arquette), confronts her vicious pimp (Gary Oldman), and embarks on a cross-country odyssey with $5 million worth of Mafia cocaine. Mayhem ensues, culminating in a favorite Tarantino climax–the “Mexican standoff”–in which a roomful of guys are pointing guns at each other, waiting to see who shoots first. Brutal, profane, and totally outrageous, True Romance is not for everyone, but with a supporting cast that includes Dennis Hopper, Christopher Walken, Brad Pitt, and Val Kilmer (as the ghost of Elvis!), you can be sure this movie will never be boring. –Jeff Shannon

Kill Bill Volume Two Blu ray

Kill Bill Volume Two Blu ray

51Fk2e7ei7L. SL75 Kill Bill Volume Two Blu ray

“The Bride” (Uma Thurman) gets her satisfaction–and so do we–in Quentin Tarantino’s “roaring rampage of revenge,” Kill Bill, Vol. 2. Where Vol. 1 was a hyper-kinetic tribute to the Asian chop-socky grindhouse flicks that have been thoroughly cross-referenced in Tarantino’s film-loving brain, Vol. 2–not a sequel, but Part Two of a breathtakingly cinematic epic–is Tarantino’s contemporary martial-arts Western, fueled by iconic images, music, and themes lifted from any source that Tarantino holds dear, from the action-packed cheapies of William Witney (one of several filmmakers Tarantino gratefully honors in the closing credits) to the spaghetti epics of Sergio Leone. Tarantino doesn’t copy so much as elevate the genres he loves, and the entirety of Kill Bill is clearly the product of a singular artistic vision, even as it careens from one influence to another. Violence erupts with dynamic impact, but unlike Vol. 1, this slower grand finale revels in Tarantino’s trademark dialogue and loopy longueurs, reviving the career of David Carradine (who plays Bill for what he is: a snake charmer), and giving Thurman’s Bride an outlet for maternal love and well-earned happiness. Has any actress endured so much for the sake of a unique collaboration? As the credits remind us, “The Bride” was jointly created by “Q&U,” and she’s become an unforgettable heroine in a pair of delirious movie-movies (Vol. 3 awaits, some 15 years hence) that Tarantino fans will study and love for decades to come. –Jeff Shannon

4 Stars Kill Bill Vol. 2
I really enjoyed this movie. It’s an action flick, lots of blood and gore, but it has a few silly moments, too. One of my favorites.

4 Stars Bill: The Climax
While not as action packed as Volume One, in Volume Two you learn more about The Bride and her past relationship with Bill. Apparently, unknown to the Bride, Bill, expertly acted by the late David Carradine, of “Kung Fu” fame, has been raising their daughter, BeBe, and doing a really good job of it, too. We also learn that the love between Uma’s character and Bill was really strong before it all fell apart. As incredible as it may seem, Uma was completely mesmerized by him at one time.

Of course, the Bride has been doing a good job of eliminating, through death or total incapacitation, the killers on her list. Her fight with Elle, memorably played by Daryl Hannah, the film’s one-eyed wonder, is as much fun as it is a bit disgusting. One must put aside disbelief in Uma’s literally “death defying” scenes with Budd, Bill’s brother. The bride’s scenes with her aged, but sadistic, Japanese instructor, are also very funny. Who would have guessed that Uma’s character was multilingual!

Those fans of Quentin Tarantino hoping for a happy ending will not be disappointed. I certainly wasn’t.

5 Stars KILL BILL -VOL 2 PSS
ITEM JUST AS DESCRIBED ! FAST AND FRIENDLY ! A REAL PLEASURE DOIN BUSINESS WITH … THANK YOU !

4 Stars Keeps getting better.
I have seen this movie and handful of times, and I’m still a huge fan. Tarantino really keeps you locked-in with this conclusion to Volume 1. The dialogue, the musical arrangements… they are all phenomenal!

2 Stars Better than the First. But that isn’t saying much
If you take some true classic films made by “real” directors who create suspense and real characters, this movie doesn’t even count. Tartino is about horror. Plain and simple. Even Tim Burton creates more suspense with some wit and humor than Tortino. His stumbling inept style didn’t work when he took it to CSI a few years back either.

The first film is a joke, this film is slightly better. Then then it doesn’t have to do much to improve over Volume One.

5 Stars Another Great MJ Concert Performance
As someone who attended Michael’s U.S. concerts over the last 25 years (Jacksons Victory Tour and Michael’s Bad Tour), I was not surprised by the great performance Michael gave in Bucharest back during this early 90’s tour. I purchased this dvd because after the Bad Tour, Michael’s tours were outside of the U.S., so I wanted to see what fans in other parts of the world got to see. As with most Motown-trained artists, Michael always put on top notch shows full of real singing, both precise and free-style dance moves unique to Michael, theatrics and great showmanship. What’s always amazing is the high, never-ending energy with no intermissions. Michael always gave audiences their money’s worth- usually at least 2 hours of performance with few long breaks or wardrobe changes common to other artists’ shows. I am a bit biased, but I give this one 5 stars!

5 Stars Awesome!
This was the best concert ever. Michael Jackson was the best entertainer in the world. What a thrill it was to watch his concert.

5 Stars F A B U L O U S
This video was FABULOUS!!!!! I have watched it over and over. He will always be the “King of Pop”

Rest in Peace MJ – we’ll always keep you in our hearts.

5 Stars THE MICHAEL JACKSON EXPERIENCE
I have never seen Michael Jackson in concert, but the excellent quality of this dvd coupled with Michael Jackson, himself, really makes you feel that you are there. I have always enjoyed his music and dancing, but watching this concert really brings it all together and it is a great tribute of the creativity and genius of Michael Jackson. I think anyone who enjoys his music on any level to his biggest fan would want to own this dvd. It is truly amazing to watch and listen to the audience’s reaction to him, it really makes you feel the excitement and feel that you a part of the audience. Each and every performance is total perfecton from his music to the choreography. I have watched it seveal times since I bought it a couple of weeks ago, and each time I watch it only confirms what a genius he was and that he truly was and will always be the “King of Pop.” Each performance on the dvd is a masterpiece and shows the perfection that he expected of himself to give to his fans. I could really just go on on how great this is, but I really don’t think any words could do it or Michael Jackson justice, you have to watch it for yourself and feel the Michael Jackson experience.

5 Stars WHAT ABOUT THE OTHERS ?
It’s clear enough that Michael Jackson fans have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy this concert DVD so long as they remain attached to his memory. What about the rest of us. Those with few or no memories of having seen him work in film, on TV or live. Is there anything here that warrants attention. For most who are open to pop of another sort than that to which they were/are accustomed I think this will be a fine couple of hours. The show is ultra spectacular in its technology; but, more important, is the high degree of integration between the material aspects of the show, the featured cast, and, above all, the focus of all their efforts, Michael Jackson. He is seemingly charged up by what is going on with him at its center while, at the same time, he energizes that which is focused upon him. Most energized by him is the audience which becomes a central component of the performance, second only to Jackson himself. As the first Beatle film showed, scenes of audience adulation and physical hysteria, influence the ultimate viewing audience.

Enough said. If you haven’t seen this phenomenon perform, do so while he is still part of the world’s cultural heritage.

5 Stars Best Movie
I first watched this movie when I was four years old. I was an MJ fanatic. Anything that had Michael in it, my mom would literally have to pull me away from the tv screen. I am now 17 and still love this movie to death. It’s a classic for black americans. It may not have made big when it hit theaters but alot of movies don’t get the recognition they should and some just aren’t for everybody. This movie was funny and sometimes corny but it it always enjoyable to watch. I loved Michael Jackson’s “You Can’t Win” and when he said “Think of Teenie” to make the Tin Man cry. Only Diana Ross can run in those Ruby Red Pumps the way she did. I think everyone should watch this movie and just give it a chance. This is something I would definitely want my future kids and grandkids to see.

5 Stars Michael Jackson shines in this movie
I was pleasantly surprised by this movie but I would have liked to hear more singing from a very young only 19 or 20 year old Michael Jackson in his first real movie! He sings “You Can’t Win” and he is totally adorable as the Scarecrow in this movie. The digital remake was a big improvement over previous versions. I also loved the song “Ease on Down The Road” Michael and Diana dance down the yellow brick road singing the song. Michael shines and steals every scene, imo. I was disappointed that he didn’t sing more songs solo though. This movie is a must for any MJ fan. Nipsey Russell was really cute in this also. Diana Ross is good but I wanted to hear more singing from Michael and less from Diana. No offense to Diana Ross fans. Totally worth the price.

4 Stars Awesome Movie
This is one of the best musicals of all time! “The Wiz” is MoTown’s take on “The Wizard of Oz” without the exploitation of little people (when Dorothy finds herself in Munchkin Land). It’s an awesome movie that will definitely be enjoyed for years (and years) to come. The only reason I didn’t give this movie 5 stars is for the length of the movie, as it is 3+ hours long. ALSO– I got the movie for a great price on Amazon!

5 Stars I LOVE THE WIZ…GREAT MOVIE
I bought this as a start to my movie collection so when I move out my parents house next year, I’ll have my movies. My mother has the older version, but I have this one.It is a great movie, love MJ in this movie,he’s so handsome, sweet, charming and irrestible. I don’t see any difference and that’s how I wanted it to be. Only thing I don’t like is that the cd doesn’t have diana ross’ song “Soon as I get home.” But so far great movie.

5 Stars The Wiz
Great movie. I bought it because I wanted to once again see MJ in this role. His performance of the song “You Can’t Win” is indeed perfection! It is a great family movie.

Jurassic Park Adventure Pack Jurassic Park The Lost World Jurassic Park Jurassic Park III

Jurassic Park Adventure Pack Jurassic Park The Lost World Jurassic Park Jurassic Park III

61Jtpxo%2BG%2BL. SL75 Jurassic Park Adventure Pack Jurassic Park The Lost World Jurassic Park Jurassic Park III

Jurassic Park
Steven Spielberg’s 1993 mega-hit rivals Jaws as the most intense and frightening film he’d ever made prior to Schindler’s List, but it was also among his weakest stories. Based on Michael Crichton’s novel about an island amusement park populated by cloned dinosaurs, the film works best as a thrill ride with none of the interesting human dynamics of Spielberg’s Jaws. That lapse proves unfortunate, but there’s no shortage of raw terror as a rampaging T-rex and nasty raptors try to make fast food out of the cast. The effects are still astonishing (despite the fact that the computer-generated technology has since been improved upon) and at times primeval, such as the sight of a herd of whatever-they-are scampering through a valley. –Tom Keogh

The Lost World – Jurassic Park
In the low tradition of knockoff horror flicks best seen (or not seen) on a drive-in movie screen, Steven Spielberg’s sequel to Jurassic Park is a poorly conceived, ill-organized film that lacks story and logic. Screenwriter David Koepp strings along a number of loose ideas while Jeff Goldblum returns as Ian Malcolm, the quirky chaos theoretician who now reluctantly agrees to go to another island where cloned dinosaurs are roaming freely. Along with his girlfriend (Julianne Moore) and daughter, Malcolm has to deal with hunters, environmentalists, and corporate swine who stupidly bring back a big dino to Southern California, where it runs amok, of course. Spielberg doesn’t seem to care that the pieces of this project don’t add up to a real movie, so he hams it up with big, scary moments (with none of the artfulness of those in Jurassic Park) and smart-aleck visual gags (a yapping dog in a suburb mysteriously disappears when a hungry T-rex stomps by). A complete bust.–Tom Keogh

Jurassic Park III
Surpassing expectations to qualify as an above-average sequel, Jurassic Park III is nothing more or less than a satisfying popcorn adventure. A little cheesier than the first two Jurassic blockbusters, it’s a big B movie with big B-list stars (including Laura Dern, briefly reprising her Jurassic Park role), and eight years of advancing computer-generated-image technology give it a sharp edge over its predecessors. While adopting the jungle spirit of King Kong, the movie refines Michael Crichton’s original premise, and its dinosaurs are even more realistic, their behavior more detailed, and their variety–including flying pteranodons and a new villain, the spinosaurus–more dazzling and threatening than ever. These advancements justify the sequel, and its contrived plot is just clever enough to span 90 minutes without wearing out its welcome.

Posing as wealthy tourists, an adventurous couple (William H. Macy, T

5 Stars It was the end of everything simple… and the beginning of everything else…
Dawson’s Creek is a series that I grew up with. Like “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Six Feet Under,” and “ER” – it was a story that I absored every week.

In 1998 when the series premiered on the now defunct “the wb” I was 10 years old. But having been helped raised by my much older siblings I had an afenity for the older crowd. After “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” moved to her new night, I stayed and watched a new world open up in front of me.

“Dawson’s Creek” may not have been the first teen soap, or maybe even the best. But it was the first one I was ever exposed to – and the one I watched throughout my teenage years. I might not have understood it the first time around the block (a second viewing several years later proved just how na

One Tree Hill The Complete Fifth Season Digital Copy

One Tree Hill The Complete Fifth Season Digital Copy

51ci9H21lEL. SL75 One Tree Hill The Complete Fifth Season Digital Copy

One Tree Hill: The Complete Fifth Season takes an unorthodox approach to advancing the popular television series by skipping over four years in the lives of the show’s characters. The Scott brothers and their sundry friends from the small town of Tree Hill, North Carolina, were last seen in The Complete Fourth Season vowing to keep in touch after high-school graduation and remain the same people, even while some went off to college and others made different plans. The fifth season leaps over that transitional period, and we find everyone now in their early 20s, dealing with adult relationships, career moves, disasters, disappointments, and all the rest. For the first time in One Tree Hill, the actors actually look close to the age of their characters, and that makes for an even more sophisticated show.

Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray), following a well-received first novel, is facing writer’s block on his second effort. But he fills his days as the new head coach of his old high-school basketball team, the Ravens, aided by his old pal, Skills (Antwon Tanner). Meanwhile, Lucas’ brother, Nathan (James Lafferty), is lost in a dark hole of despair after losing his dream of signing with an NBA team. Barely able to move his legs, Nathan is almost crippled in a bar fight and spends his days and nights boozing and raging around while wife Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and young son Jamie (Jackson Brundage) try to survive his emotional torrents. Lucas is no longer with Peyton (Hilarie Burton), the latter having moved to Los Angeles to become a disgruntled assistant’s assistant in a music recording company. Brooke (Sophia Bush), however, has hit the jackpot in New York as the celebrity founder of a designer clothes empire that has made her wealthy yet not quite free of her domineering mother (Daphne Zuniga). Everyone ends up back in Tree Hill, looking for roots and a future that involves support from one another. Friendship matters, but it doesn’t inoculate this bunch from the pain of Peyton’s ongoing love for Lucas (who is romantically involved with his pretty editor), or Brooke’s emptiness after briefly fostering a child who then must leave her, or Nathan’s slow crawl back from misery. In true One Tree Hill fashion, the characters’ collective challenges come together in a critical mass during the season finale, ending with a very unusual cliffhanger involving four cell phones. –Tom Keogh

5 Stars One Tree Hill
Great series would recomend to purchase all 5 seasons it is addicting to watch this show I have enjoyes season 1-5 and will order season 6 when it comes out!

5 Stars Fine for new fans and great for old ones
I’m a huge fan of One Tree Hill, and I was thrilled to see them leap forward four years and avoid the often awkward college years. Because this season takes place four years after the last one, new viewers could start watching. They would miss some backstory, but it’s doable. For fans, it’s delightful to see our beloved characters all grown up!

5 Stars One Tree Hill-Fifth Season
Dvd set was shipped out right away and I was able to start enjoy’n it in no time.

Thank you!

5 Stars This is Great for any Michael Jackson fan =)
Hey Guys…I know that you have all been wondering what this product contains. I will give you the heads up. It is great. It comes with 4 dvd’s. The first two dvd’s contain interview all through Michael’s life. It is an unauthorized dvd set, but it is wonderful. On the first disc it shows Michael when he was about 9 or 10 in an interview with Jackie..Then it cuts to home movies of him in around 1984 with sister Latoya. Grant it some of the video quality is not the best, but you have to remember this was the 80’s on a home video camera. Also, the first disc has the interview he did with Oprah Winfrey in 1993. Then there is the interview with Babara Walter’s in 1997. On the second disc you have the interview with Diane Sawyer…when he and Lisa Marie Presley were interviewed. All these interview’s look like they came from fan footage that was taped, but at least we now have all of these interview’s in a few disc that we can cherish and watch Michael. Also there are Michael’s interviews/ home movies from 2003 after the Martin Bashir interview. The video show’s the entire true portion from when he talked w/ Martin Bashir caught on Michael’s camera’s the stuff that Martin Bashir left out of his interview. I have not gotten past the rest, but I am sure the rest will be great. Again…if you love Michael Jackson and want to see this man in his fullest and truest self then you will love this box set even though the quality isn’t the best on all of the interviews. I hope this helps for any buyers wanting some info.

4 Stars Recommend this item!
Hello all my MJ buddies at Amazon,

As promised, here is my review of this Box Set.

Aside from the Sad Clown Face of MJ on the cover, (don’t know why they chose that pic)I did enjoy watching these DVD’S.

I’ll tell you the slight problems first (nothing major):

On the outisde case, on the back it does state that this producer of these DVD’S, had no permission of any of the participants to release any footage on the DVD’s, so keep that in mind.

On the actual DVD cases and the “scene selections”, there is no titles telling you what the interviews, press conferences, or fan footage is.

Good stuff on the Interview Discs:

Interview Disc #1: There are some old interviews of when MJ was small and a teenager, and a partial one with Barbara Walters in 1997 (it was after Prince I was born), he was “beaming” when Barbara asked him about Prince. I would say there are about five short interviews in various over seas countries and the longest one was the early one, with him at the Encino home.

Interview Disc #2: Has lengthy interviews, I believe the one from 1993 with Oprah is on there and some from Take 2 – the rebuttal DVD MJ made after Martin Bashir’s documentary, and some of MJ’s Home Movie footage. Also, one is not an interview, but a Deposition from 1993. From watching it, it seemed like it was someone named Raynard Jones who was sueing him over some song rights, saying he wrote them, not MJ. It was very long, over two hours, but be sure to watch it all, MJ was very polite and you will see his cleverness in answering the questions from the proscuting attorney.

Press Conference & Store signing Disc:

I found this very good :) I LOVED the first Store Signing: it was in New York, 2001 at Virgin records, when MJ was promoting his Invincible CD. Despite all the security, MJ was kind to EVERYONE in the line. If they wanted a hug or kiss, he obliged. He constantly said “God Bless You” to people and shook their hand. He took everything, anyone had made him, such as posters and thanked them warmly. It was over two hours long. His friends, the Casio brothers were there with him, and he was so cute as they looked at the “hot” girls. You even heard MJ say to Frank Casio, “was she hot?” MJ was blushing as Frank teased him about some of the girls in line as they passed. There was also one girl, whom he got her number. It was toward the end of the signing, and she hugged MJ, as she left, you could hear MJ tell her to leave her number.

The rest of the Press Conferences and Store signings, were short, but very good.

Fan Footage:

This is just about what you would expect. Most of it was rough, but it was probably done with a camera phone, but it’s worth watching.

All in all, if you are MJ fan, you need to purchase this. It’s cheaper to get the box set, instead of getting these DVD’s seperately. There is also a booklet that comes with this, with MJ’s awards and accomplishments listed.

Thanks,

Cindy Hughes

5 Stars MICHAEL IN ALL HIS SPLENDOR
Michael’s admirers will absolutely want to have these dvds! These dvds contain probably 95% of the interviews and videos we’ve all seen throughout the years or watched in excess and some even obsessively on YouTube since the time of MJ’s passing. I’ll try to be as descriptive as I can:

The box contains a set of 2 slim cases, inside of which are 2 dvds each. Each dvd case has 2 small pics of MJ on the front while they both display the full clown face of MJ on the back.

The Interviews Vol.1 (not necessarily in this order)

on this disc you’ll find:

-news anchor Robert Abernethy interviews Michael who was then 12, and Jackie who was 20 at the time

-Michael being interviewed by Oprah at Neverland, also Michael calling her show when she had Quincey Jones on as a

guest

-interviews by Barbara Walters, Sylvia Chase, Diane Sawyer, an Australian reporter

*interview with Diane Sawyer is the one he did with Lisa Marie Presley*

-an interview with Access Hollywood when MJ was working on music in Ireland

-footage from interview with parents at their Encino home

-interview with Japanese reporter where MJ had a case of the giggles (very cute)

-and yes, footage of Michael in his red sweater at home with his llama :)

The Interviews Vol.2

-part of Martin Bashir interview (don’t worry, it only shows positive outtakes)

*while I could’ve missed seeing Bashir because I quickly skimmed through each dvd, I don’t believe he was shown,

only heard. I will go through each one more thoroughly, so if revisions are necessary later I will do so*

-1993 deposition in which Michael is extensively questioned on whether or not he was the one who

actually wrote some of the songs on his and The Jacksons albums. The deposition lasted hours and

you’ll notice how extremely drained and completely exasperated MJ became after being inundated with question

after question (sometimes the same ones repeatedly). Michael had oral surgery, plus he had not been feeling well

so he was constantly sipping tea, water, fidgeting, playing with his sunglasses, doing anything

he could to stay focused, to stay awake.

I found myself sad at times and angry at others watching MJ try to keep his composure under such stress. They

scrutinized his EVERY word.

Press Conferences & Store Signings

-Michael at Virgin Records during his promoting of Invincible (the one we’ve all watched over and over again on

YouTube where he’s wearing blue) This particular segment was over an hour

-MJ during a Sony simulchat where he’s at a computer answering questions presented by fans (the video where he’s

wearing a red shirt and dark sunglasses, looking very cute)

-”Heal the Kids” speech with Johnny Cochran and Mother Love

-Christmas address

-MJ’s address to the public regarding the 1993 child molestation charges

Fans Camera Footage

-footage of MJ on shopping trips

-Heal the World speech at Oxford University

-Michael speaking at The National Action Network Headquarters (with Rev. Al Sharpton), giving a speech addressing

racism, problems with Sony and other issues

It was nice to see Michael’s natural interactions in “regular” situations. Before taking to the podium to begin his speech you see MJ revising or adding to his notes, being the perfectionist he always was.

You will hear lots of screaming, lots of “I love you Michael!” throughout and you will witness the enormity and scope of just how big Michael Jackson really was, and still is. As one fan declared on her sign “ONLY GOD IS BIGGER!”

Lastly,

The Tribute Book

The cover is of Michael crowned, sitting on his throne. Inside includes quotes from family and friends at his memorial at Staples Center, a couple of classic MJ pics, and a list of achievements. Not all were included because as they stated, “it would take up too much space”. That incomplete list of achievements alone took up 7 pages!

Oh yeah, for some reason, which is beyond me, they added a transcript of a seance where supposedly MJ spoke from the dead via an ouija board. I thought this was completely ridiculous and went against everything MJ believed, and is contrary to my beliefs as well. Needless to say I tore it out of the book.

Other than that, I loved the set of dvds. I love all the personal footage of MJ, seeing all the love from the fans, and all the love he gave back. There will never be another Michael Joseph Jackson…and as it’s been quoted in the past, in speaking on the subject of entertainers, “There is Michael Jackson. Then there is everyone else”.

5 Stars Annoyed by ONE STAR posters!
First of all, can I echo the sentiments of all the recent posts on here in saying that this really is a great DVD set. I’m not going to do a review as such though as everyone else has already done a better job of it than I possibly ever could.

I’m actually here to have a moan. I’m really annoyed by these people who have posted reviews without having actually seen the content, giving only ONE STAR often simply because they just don’t like Michael! I know that early on some people were unaware of what was actually on the disks but now that that has been made clear I really wish that they’d edit their posts and be a bit more objective. Otherwise we end up with the case where a FIVE STAR release only has THREE STARs simply due to Amazon screwing up the listing and we have inferior releases with better scores. The whole point of these reviews is to help people like me decide what to spend our hard earned money on. I nearly didn’t buy this as when I first looked it mainly had negative reviews. Of course, if I’d listened to those I’d have majorly missed out.

I’m going to post this in the hope that some of those people might read this and decide to put things right! I’m also going to post it on the pages for the DVDs in the pack, Interviews Vols 1 & 2, Press Conferences and Fan’s Camera Footage!!! I might even start putting comments onto their reviews!

5 Stars so worth buying
this mega-box set comes in a case with 4 discs in it – there are two disc holders with two discs in each. they each have the great pictures that these discs have as singles if you choose to purchase them as such instead of the mega-box whole set. it does work out better financially though to get the mega-box set rather than getting each of these dvd’s by themselves. the only two differences in purchasing this box-set over the singles is that -

1. in the box-set, you get the booklet coming with the product which has a picture of mj with a crown on his head on the front cover, followed by a talk about his life, a detailing of the memorial service, some tributes, absolutely phenominal pictures, a small section celebrating his awards, and a seance (which is less than a page long)

2. it is far more affordable to purchase this mega-box set rather than get each dvd by itself.

i gave a review of all the dvd’s included in this set in their individual places, so i will not copy that again in this over-all review, but what i will say is – this is a definite must-buy for everyone!! i HIGHLY recommend it. all these dvd’s are phenominal!!

5 Stars Chop-Suey!!
I bought this Blu-ray version of Kill Bill after I discovered my standard definition version was defective. I’m not a big movie collector, I probably own only about a dozen movies on disc. I’m very happy with this purchase. If you like watching movies to be entertained with almost non-stop action, it does’nt get any better than this. The Blu-ray makes the picture crisp and clean, and the soundtrack is top-notch! This is an ideal disc for showing off your home theater set-up!

5 Stars IT DOESNT GET BETTER
Two of my favs in KILL BILL 1 AND 2 made great on blue ray with better music and graphics.. Tarentino at his best.. with all the cast being spot on..

5 Stars Simple but brilliant action movie
The storyline is rather simple – “the Bride” is out for revenge against Bill, a former boss and father of her unborn child, and his followers who turned her wedding into a bloodbath, almost killing her. However, Tarantino’s style and writing along with a superb performance by Uma Thurman elevate this movie to greatness. There is never a dull moment and the viewer cheers for the Bride, despite the fact she’s also an assassin who’s out to kill people. Part of that is due to her reason for revenge, and part is due to Tarantino’s style which actually makes the movie “fun” in a way.

By now I think most people are prepared for the amount of violence in Tarantino’s films. In this movie he takes advantage of the freedom in an anime-type sequence to have even more blood. The violence in “Kill Bill Vol. 1″ is over-the-top to the point where it’s humorous at times.

The performances by all the actors are very good, especially Thurman. While there is plenty of action, there are also a good number of dramatic scenes and it does include some humor. I particularly enjoyed a series of scenes where the Bride was visiting Japan to obtain a special samurai sword which demonstrated a sense of honor. And there was a scene with Lucy Lui’s character – also an assassin – in a board room meeting which was hilarious! Overall, I think it’s a great action movie and is one of Tarantino’s best.

4 Stars The Bride, Kill Bill, Volume 1 – Amazon
We see after-effects of gunfire at a chapel and the start of a crusade of revenge by the Bride after she awakens from a coma. Her first victim being a pimping nurse attendant. After doing self-physical therapy to regain her walking skills, the Bride begins her revenge.

5 Stars Bloody Good Film
Uma Thurman is out for revenge! She plays “The Bride” who receives a bullet in her head at her wedding and spends the next several years in a coma. Uma is lucky; the rest of her wedding party are all dead. She regains her consciousness in the hospital (in a decidedly compromised position) then makes up a list of all those she is determined to eliminate.

Like a good satire of all those Japanese samurai films, “Kill Bill, Volume 1″ is very bloody, but unlike those, is also very funny. I did not know whether to laugh or to cringe, so I did both. The sword fight scenes are magnificently staged and choreographed. The cinematography is beautiful (magnified stunningly in Blu-ray) and the incredibly stirring musical score is akin to something out of a Sergio Leone spaghetti western.

See this amazingly entertaining flick! I am already preparing myself for Volume 2.

5 Stars Cool

5 Stars This is a gift

5 Stars trailer park boys complete seven seasons dvds
i love the tpbs. can’t get enough. the only negative review i have is that in a couple of the dvds special features, there was no sound for about ninety seconds. other than that, they were perfect. seven seasons is just not enough!!!!!! julian is so hot. and ricky is adorable. bubbles is just extraordinary and the rest of the cast is awesome.

5 Stars So Funny, definitely buy this one!
Definitely not a let down. Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles are up their usual schemes using Corey and Trever as bait. Trying to make money and somehow just not quite getting past the law (unless Ricky is doing the talking) see what I’m sayn’?

They work harder at getting out of work than they would at actually working a job. Bubbles has to have money for cat food. Laughter is good for the soul and there is plenty of that!! Say since I filled this out, send us some smokes or pepperoni or chicken chips-a’right?

4 Stars A different kind a comedy about pot, drinkin’ and bad decisions!
for the record I don’t usually enjoy ‘pot’ movies that show people getting stoned and being stupid. Trailer Park Boys (TPB) puts a different if subtle twist on a purple haze type life. these characters are stupid and poor first which leads to growing drug, drinking too much and having disfuncional relationships. hidden deep in the middle of these characters are occasional tender hearts who are trying to come to grips with being messed up and being ok with that type of life.

The show is shot kinda like a documentary with cameras following people and doing the occasional interview to get the characters thoughts on events that just occoured.

I like unusual films and stuff, but not just ANY unusual films. as mentioned earlier I didn’t enjoy “half baked” or “harold and kumar” but I did like Undercover Brother in which some drug use was a side issue to the character’s motivations. I liked zoolander where most of the characters are out of this world, but because the whole film is populated with them it helps to believe in the unbelievable characters. unlike blades of glory where two or four characters are over the top, but everyone around them are normal, thats when the over the top acting becomes annoying for me.

search some TPB youtube and see if you laugh at them, if so start your TPB collection!

5 Stars must have
As far as I am concerned, all the MJ videos are must haves. It will help me show my grandchildren what they missed by being born after MJ was gone.

4 Stars Michael Jackson’s History Vol I
I really enjoyed the video but found there were a few that were not clear, Billie Jean,The Way You Make Me Feel and Beat It were snowy. But I found that the History II (Beat It )was also that way so it must be the time frame the video was recorded that had something to do with it. I was going to send it back for a replacement but you have discontinued the item and I will keep it as the rest of the videos were excellent. Can you explain it? I did receive the DVD rapidly and in excellent condition. I will continue to buy from Amazon, they have the best prices on line!

5 Stars Michael Jackson – video hits
Michael Jackson, a great entertainer and his videos are awesome. It’s sad that he is gone and I hope soon the so call Dr.(Death) Murray is charged and eventually sent to prison for what he allowed to happen Michael Jackson. I give History two thumbs up.

4 Stars Glad to have some major work of MJs
MJ was only several years younger than myself, so I watched him grow up and very much enjoyed several of his productions that I saw over the years. I wanted to make sure I had a small part of his history. Regardless of anything else, he was revolutionary in music and dance. This gives me the chance to see it again whenever I wish.

5 Stars Great purchase & excellent condition!
This product was worth every penny and came in a timely manner in good condition. Great purchase!

3 Stars Does not do the book justice.. but….
Ok I have read all four books and they all have issues.. but the movie to me did not help much to enlighten non readers or myself. Where did the love go??? I did not see the love story unfolding as it should have. That is what Twilight is about,, right????

The actors did a good job, I have never heard of them before, which works for the movie. Really how hard is it to remember Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt as the sexy vamps of the 90’s.. Who could you really get to do a teen movie on a small budget. So don’t shoot the messengers. After watching interviews with the main stars though I kinda wished I had not seem them in real live. Of course they are not like the character they portray on screen so I openly felt cheated. Silly I know, but after reading the books I want the onscreen characters to seem real. So no more E tv for me. :)

I own all the books and the movie so I am a fan… but I am dissapointed that the “love” was not written into the script.

Check out New Moon, it is much better..

5 Stars Twilight (Ultimate Collector’s Set) (Amazon.com Exclusive) [Blu-ray]
The box was more than i expected, its very well presented and was made by quality product, all items are as described in description, its the ultimate Twilight collector’s set, would recommend to buy. If Australian get a blu- ray multi region player as the Blu-ray limited edition Disc does not work otherwise.

5 Stars Magical Perspective
What makes this movie so dreamy, so romantic and so dumb at the same time??? I couldn’t stop laughing last time I saw it particularly at Robert’s and Kristen’s acting. She is so dramatic there are times she definitely is overdoing it yet I believe she’s an excellent actress. Pattison is good at making weird and breathtaking faces at the same time I believe he is a great actor as well but he needs to express more emotion without the weird expressions in the face. I really like a lot Billy’s impersonation of Charlie-Bella’s Dad- he makes in my opinion the perfect Charlie Chief of Police. Rosalie-of the movie-in the other hand, has the attitude of the character but I’m not 100% sure she is physically the same Rosalie of the novel as I imagined her. She’s stunning of course but I imagined a more “Sports Illustrated” kind of girl as the novel describes her. Then there is Tyler as Jacob, apart from Charlie in the movie he is my second favorite actor. He definitely plays the part well and when I see him I see the Jacob from the novel completely. Depicts emotions much better than Edward and Bella both. Trying to answer my first question, I don’t really know what makes this movie make me want to see it again and again and like it so much as I do… I guess it’s sort of the ambience the special effects create, the color, the lights, the music, the setting, the handsome vampires and of course the story taken from the novel that together make this movie special.

As for the novel per se, someone’s review here made me think about what does Edward see in Bella that makes him fall in love with her. Well, he def. falls in love with her too fast almost leaving out logical reasons of why he fell for her especially when you read midnight’s sun draft and you get to know he thought she was kind of plain just a normal, ordinary girl. But then there are certain conversations they had at the beginning of their relationship where Bella shows she is a “middle aged” person trapped in a teenager’s body, so their souls could relate in that way. She is unselfish, a martyr, for the people she loves and she’s smart and highly perceptive. It’s not just that because he can’t read her mind he loves her, that attracted him to her in the first place but that’s not the reason of his devotion. I can see from a more objective perspective that the way he always chases her and is so protective of her can be seen as pathological but that is if he were to be real which he is not may I remind you we are talking about vampires he,he. Maybe the problem is if you try to see this movie or read this novel from an objective, real perspective you sort of kill the magic and see the flaws.

To enjoy it, please stay in the clouds a little while longer and let the magic embrace you.

5 Stars I am hooked
I have read the whole series of Twilight at least five times. I loved the story and how the couple grew together in all four books. To date my favorite series I have ever read. Once again I thank Stephenie Meyer’s for writing such awesome stories.

4 Stars This movie made me read the books
Although, it’s extremely corny in certain scenes, this movie is what brought me to reading the Twilight Saga. I did enjoy this movie, you will enjoy it a lot more if you have NOT read the first book by Stephenie Meyer; Twilight. It’s a good warm up though, and I know many people that love the movie despite reading the book and realizing just how much was left out of it. Four Words: New Moon is better. ;) Seriously, the second movie New Moon, trumps Twilight. BUT that’s a different review.

I would buy this movie used, or rent it. I love Robert’s acting, along with Taylor’s. It’s a good beginning to a great love story.

5 Stars Amazing
I love this DVD. However, I wish they would have kept the “brace youself” at the beginning of the film instead of putting it at the end, lol :P

And I wish they would have included the 2 Bad short film in there as well. Overall, I loved it. I always love watching MJ vids. I would definitely recommend it to any MJ fan.

5 Stars MJ Fan
This was awesome! I purchased this and my whole family and I enjoy watching it over and over. It is priceless entertainment for our family. I am glad that I purchased this collection. I also purchased the Dangerous short films, Video history one, and the Michael Jackson Dangerous concert.. All are awesome and make a great collections. I would like to see a dvd with all of MJ’s videos on one dvd instead of several here and there. For instant man in the mirror is on the number one’s dvd.. I would have liked to have seen that on one of these collections. With that said, theses are still great to have. I don’t know if I will purchase the number one’s dvd. I think you will enjoy all the ones that I have mentioned. Get ready to be entertained.

5 Stars Michael Jackson
This DVD was exaactly what I was looking for. It showed all the videos of the songs I am familiar with and some others I was not. The reveiews of some of the other videos lend me to think this is the one I wanted and they were right. Very good DVD for and MJ fan.

5 Stars history vol2
this is a great cd, it includes well known ones such as beat it, billie jean and of course thriller, but also many little known ones, i esp like ” they dont care about us “.

if u are a fan, u will like this cd, that boy can dance!!

5 Stars no brainer
Well, it’s a no brainer to have all the MJ videos. You either loved his music, his dance, or both so this is a must have!

Simon and Garfunkel The Concert in Central Park

Simon and Garfunkel The Concert in Central Park

5122H2SGRFL. SL75 Simon and Garfunkel The Concert in Central Park

What started as a suggestion for Paul Simon to play a concert in New York’s Central Park blossomed, on September 19, 1981, as a full-blown Simon and Garfunkel reunion after an 11-year hiatus, and now proves a priceless snapshot of two of America’s greatest folk-rock performers. (It’s also the rightful bookend to Simon and Garfunkel’s acoustic Live from New York City, 1967.)

Performed with a who’s-who of East Coast session aces before a record-setting crowd of half a million fans, The Concert in Central Park finds its stars just shy of their 40th birthdays and very much in their primes, their voices sweet and pure and their playing relaxed, perfectly in tune and in synch. The show features a mix of S&G and solo Simon tunes, including all the songs that appear on the CD, with the addition of a reprise of “Late in the Evening” and the first live performance of Simon’s “The Late Great Johnny Ace.” This is classic material from start to finish, 87 minutes of unmitigated beauty. –Michael Mikesell

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Simon and Garfunkel live in central park
the concert is awesome and my 1 year old son loved to dance to it!

5 Stars Real Pros, And Not A Bad Song In The Bunch
This is a very, very good concert featuring most of the famous singing duo’s best songs, of which there were many. There is a good mix of fast and slow songs and so-so stereo. Too bad they couldn’t have re-mixed this in 5.1surround sound for the DVD.

Simon and Garfunkel are such pros. The two harmonize so well it’s amazing and even though they were live, playing in front of a mammoth crowd, most of their songs sound like perfect studio takes. Yes, a couple might not sound as good as those original studio recordings but some – thanks to the great backup band here – sound even better than the originals! Best of all, there are no “clunkers” in this group.

The boys looked a bit smug, but when you can draw literally hundreds of thousands of fans to a concert, I guess it’s hard to be humble. They were real superstars of their music era.

5 Stars Excellent evening of harmony
This cd is a collection of the finest the two have done both collectively and solo. It brought a whole new appreciation for Neil Simon and the talent that seems so effortless to him. A nostalgic piece of work.

4 Stars great show in central park
had the vhs version and got the dvd when available. great musicians and great music. the slight tension between S and G is amusing and believable.

5 Stars Great tunes revisited
Hit the spot with memories of my teen angst and truly beautiful poetry by Paul Simon with music to match. Great to see Simon and Garfunkel together. I have already enjoyed this many times over.
